Fan 1: Go get it Willie!
Fan 2: Say hey Willie, go get it!
Fan 1: What do you mean go get it? Man that ball is way in left field!
Fan 2: I don’t care what field it’s in, Willie plays all the fields.
Fan 1: Every time we come to the game; you’re talking about Willie plays all the fields.
Fan 2: That’s right!
Fan 1: Let’s call Willie and ask him, call him.
Fan 2: Ok. Hey Willie!
WM: Yes.
Fan 2: Are you Willie Mays?
WM: Yes.
Fan 2: Whose ball was that?
WM: Where was it?
Fan 2: In left field.
WM: Well, that’s Irvin's ball.
Fan 1: I told you that! Every time we come to the game, we got to talk about it. The next time I’m going to sit in the grandstand.
WM: Say hey fellas, what’s your name?
Say Who?
Say Willie
Say hey, say who?
Swinging at the plate
Say hey, say who?
Say Willie
That Giants kid is great.

Sometimes we get into a moment where we feel stuck, not necessarily lost and by no means defeated, just a bit tired, slightly run down, even directionless. You think about the game, it’s long, quite long, and you’re stuck in the middle…between innings. You look back to previous plays and reflect upon heroic wins and gut-wrenching losses, yet none of that seems to matter because you are in a space of pause. That space, although anxious and vulnerable, becomes more about thought and less about action. Less action, means less relief from those feelings of desperation. What if that space of pause doesn’t change? What if that next play doesn’t come? What if no one ever shouts out ‘Say Hey, Say Who.’ What if we are alone in our thoughts and space? It becomes a question of relativity and scale, as there is always another play. EXPECTING SNOW is the moment before the play, the waiting period within this space of slow draw and quiet reflection. It’s not about anything…no metaphors and no real direction. As we might be EXPECTING SNOW, the clouds may never come
