University of Nebraska - Lincoln, College of Architecture, 2018
LNK/BCN/SDR is a group exhibition with student works from a UNL College of Architecture study abroad program to Spain. Students spent a total of three weeks in Spain; two weeks in Barcelona and one week in Liencres. Work executed abroad and exhibited will showcase travel journals as well as artifacts completed in the Model Making in the Digital Age workshop offered through Atelier La Juntana. Sketches on display demonstrate students’ engaging the city of Barcelona through observational and analytical approaches. Workshop artifacts from Liencres include three-dimensional castings in resin, silicone, plaster, ceramics, lead, and Jesmonite. Two-dimensional artifacts from the workshop include photo-cyanotype and soft ground etchings in zinc, ink press printings, and embossing. The study abroad was led by Associate Professor of Architecture Brian M. Kelly.
The exhibition includes works by: Carly Brotherson, Paige Haskett, Brian Kelly, Keleigh Ketelhut, Benjamin Kunz, Saray Martinez, Joshua McCormack, Mikinna McGerr, Kylie Miller, Grant Moehlenhoff, Joshua Puppe, Morgan Ronspies, Pierce Tallichet, and Hilary Wiese.
